Q: I earned a failing grade on a test or quiz, what can I do?
A: K Woods believes in mastery learning. We want students to practice until the concept is mastered. Students can retake an assessment up to two weeks after it has been returned. They should fill out a re-take form or make arrangements with Ms. Brown if they take Study Skills. Retakes are completed during either Study Skills (if the student has the class), or after school.
One of my goals is to prepare Middle Schools for High School and success after school. I feel it is critical for students to become independent and build responsibility. When students approach me for assistance, I help them by learning how to be problem solvers. I have resources available for them to help themselves.
